In this picture from a different ferry ride, you can see several of San Francisco's most famous landmarks. The Bay Bridge is just visible on the lefthand corner with the the clock tower of the historic Ferry Building in front of it. The long red and white building is one of many piers, the round building on top of the hill in the center of the picture is Coit Tower, and the pyramid is the Transamerica Building. Straight ahead is Fisherman's Wharf (not that it's recognizable), and to the right you can see both of the North Beach Cathedrals: "St. Francis of Assisi Shrine" and "Saints Peter and Paul Church" respectively.

Someone asked if I had any pictures of San Francisco (having no idea what he was getting into) so here's one taken from the Oakland Ferry as it cut under the Bay Bridge.

These two I'll post together, since they were taken at the same time in the light of a Christmas tree. Notice the similarity between the birds here and in the previous post.

I went home to Rolla this past week for almost 6 whole days....! It was actually quite enjoyable, though I didn't take any pictures. Instead I'll commemorate this occasion with pictures of Rolla taken at various other times, starting with this one in our kitchen window.

Yosemite, near Bridalveil falls. I think I succeeded with a bit of a postcard look here, although the contrast is a little high.
