Orange... oh yes it is!
This was actually taken on a playground slide.

Marmot on Half Dome
This is a strong contender for my favorite picture of the year so far. This Marmot, on top of Half Dome at Yosemite, was digging for candy in my backpack just moments before I pursued it for this shot. Clearly, it is quite the intrepid animal.

This one taken at a hot springs resort in Costa Rica. It made for a delightfully steamy atmosphere.

"Cliff's House of Love"
hehe, I wish this shot were higher quality... I would enlarge it and give it to Cliff.

Club Tangerine. Another interesting night photo, this one from Las Vegas.
Shortly after I took this we got rejected from this club because the guys' shoes weren't nice enough...

Teacups
Now that I'm an unemployed college graduate I have no excuse not to update my blog....
So, here is Disneyland.

Peppers Pickling.
This photograph always reminds me of summer. Which is arriving much too quickly.

As long as we're looking at pictures of animals, here's an enormous bug. Also in Costa Rica.

Photofriday: "Space"
This is a tough one, but here is a view inside the NY Metropolitan Museum of Art. I love the interplay of the crossbars and shadows.
This theme appears again in my photo of the SF Caltrain Station after 9/11.

Hmmm, comments. This photo was actualy taken in the airport as a whole bunch of people were standing around to say goodbye.

Possibly the cutest baby in the world... but aren't they all?

Kyoto Japan. This picture was taken at the Kyoto Textile Museum, during a Kimono fashion show.
I think it's interesting that motion is visible along the bottom of her dress and sleeves, but her face and torso are still clear.
The people in the background are great too. They add context, but their expressions really crack me up.

Boat Dance - back to the un-portraits.

Thursday, May 05, 2005

I think this is really cool picture of the Golden Gate, perhaps even cooler than the other one, because while it is still easily recognizable, it has some unexpected elements.

Next we're going to transition away from "portraits" into "pictures of people" that may or may not fit the definition of portraits.

In other news, it's come to my attention that a significant number of people are clicking through to this site by searching for "octopi" on Google Images. So I guess that's cool... although I'm not sure if I should let my reputation rest on seafood like that.
